The 2020 Empire Hill Climb was not held due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
While competition paused for the year, the tradition did not. The Empire Hill Climb returned to Wilco Road in 2021 and the story continued.

The Empire Hill Climb would not exist without the community that gives the event its name and its home.
Even in a year when we couldn't gather on Wilco Road, the Village of Empire remained at the heart of the Hill Climb and the tradition we would return to.
Thank You to Our Volunteers
Every Empire Hill Climb is built on the time and effort of the people who volunteer to make race weekend possible.
While there was no event to work in 2020, we remain grateful to the course workers, registration teams, grid workers, timing crews, safety personnel, communications teams and countless others who have supported the Hill Climb over the years.
The Hill would return, and so would the people who make it happen.

2020 interrupted the racing, but it did not end the tradition. The Empire Hill Climb returned in 2021.
